Dr. Umang Chandulal Gandhi and Dr. Anish Harshadkumar Shah, both studied M.B.B.S. from Gujarat University in 1998 from B.J. Medical College, Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. Both completed D.C.P. in 2000 and M.D. in 2001 from K.M. School of Post Graduate medicine, V.S. Hospital, Ahmedabad.
Present Symmers PathCare is hard work of both the doctor. They First started pathology laboratory in Satellite, Ahmedabad, in March 2002. Laboratory managed investigations from ICCU and Indoor patients of Medilink Hospital, along with many private nursing homes which was later on closed down in 2009. Looking at very bright future of the the Bopal area of Ahmedabad, they started second pathology laboratory there in July 2003. In early 2008, third branch was started in Sarkhej area. In 2010 forth branch was started at Narayan Chambers, Nr. Nehrubridge, Ahmedabad. Symmers Pathcare also established a branch at Bodakdev in October 2010 specially doing investigations for pre-insurance health checkup. Symmers PathCare is also having collection centre at Chandkheda. Currently Laboratory is preparing for NABL for its different branches. Laboratory is planning to establish a branch at Vadodara within a short span of time.
Dr. Umang C. Gandhi is a visiting consultant pathologist at Accutest Research Laboratory (I) Pvt. Limited, Ahmedabad, since 2006. There, He developed special interest in laboratory quality management and research. Recently he is active member of the team analyzing method development and performing more than 1,00,000 thyroid test for samples collected for research. He is laboratory director and prepared the Accutest lab and successfully conducted audits of NABL since 2008. He has faced audits of ANVISA-BRAZIL, DCGI, US-FDA, various pharmaceuticals industries for his lab at Accutest, Ahmedabad. During audits and during preparation of NABL he has trained fellow staff by regularly conducting lactures related to different topics of ISO 15189, NABL 112, various topics related to Laboratory medicine. Both Dr. Umang Gandhi and Dr. Anish Shah are partners at Dr. Shah’s Pathology Laboratory and Endocrine Unit.
